Os proprietários dessa residência no Lago Sul confiaram aos profissionais Mendo Barreto e Silvana Andrade a responsabilidade de imprimir seu estilo e personalidade na reforma de sua casa. Amantes das artes e da cultura, eles desejavam espaços que abrigassem seu acervo particular de obras de arte e livros. O projeto envolveu uma completa transformação das fachadas, passando pelo interior até os jardins.
A fachada da residência foi rodeada pelo belo jardim assinado por Mendo Barreto. A área externa ganhou um lago com carpas e palmeiras Phoenix canariensis, que o paisagista apelidou carinhosamente de “Canárias”. Os focos de iluminação destacam a composição das plantas e o desenho formado pelos caminhos ladeados de verde que dão acesso à entrada da casa. Os fechamentos em vidro propiciam uma vista privilegiada, permitindo que a imponente escultura de Amilcar de Castro também possa ser desfrutada do living.
Os espaços internos foram trabalhados pela arquiteta em cores neutras, com o objetivo de destacar as obras de arte assinadas por Daniel Senise, Abraham Palatnik e Beatriz Milhazes. Leves pitadas de cor deram o tom do ambiente, personalizando e alegrando discretamente os espaços. A madeira rústica acrescenta aconchego, e equilibra a composição. Merece destaque o impactante painel com elos vazados que recebe o visitante e resguarda a sala de jantar, assinado por Mendo Barreto. Ao fundo, à esquerda, obra de Hélio Oiticica e, à direita, obra de Emmanuel Nassar.
A porta de entrada segue o mesmo conceito e foi confeccionada com madeira secular e puxador em aço Corten.
O recorte do revestimento em pedra da varanda gourmet tem em primeiro plano uma mesa aparador. A instalação de anéis vazados divide o living da sala de jantar, e ao fundo,a porta principal da residência. O pé-direito alto do living foi valorizado por um elegante lustre negro.

The owners of this residence in South Lake gave the responsibility to the professionals Mendo Barreto and Silvana Andrade to print their style and personality of their home improvement. Lovers of arts and culture, they wanted space where their private collection of works of art and books were put. The project involved acomplete transformation of the facades, through the interior to the gardens.
The facade of the residence was surrounded by a beautiful garden designed by Mendo Barreto. The outdoor area has gained a pond with carp and Phoenix canariensis palm trees, the landscape affectionately nicknamed "Canary." The light spots stand out the composition formed by plants and the design of green lined walkways that provide access to the houseentrance. The glass’ closures provide an outstanding view, allowing the imposing sculpture of Amilcar de Castro can also be enjoyed from the living room.
The internal spaces the architect used neutral colors, with the aim of highlighting the works of art signed by Daniel Senise, Palatnik and Beatriz Milhazes. Light touches of color the improved the environment, customizing and rejoicing discreetly the spaces. The rustic wood adds warmth, and balances the composition. Also noteworthy is the impressive hollow linked panel to welcome the guests and guards the dining room, designed by Mendo Barreto. On the background, on the left there is the piece of art of Helio Oiticica and on the right, there is the work of Emmanuel Nassar.
The front door follows the same concept and was made with secular wood and Corten steel handle.
The cutting of the stone cladding of the gourmet balcony has a sideboard table in the foreground. The installation of hollow rings divides the living room from the dining room, and on the background, the main door of the residence. The high ceilings of the living room were valued by an elegant black chandelier.
